Side Effects of Durabolin

If it's an anabolic androgenic steroid it will carry possible side-effects, but this is not a concept unique to anabolic steroids. If you put it into your body, there are possible adverse side-effects; this holds true for every last medication on earth, even every over the counter medication; for that matter, it hold true for vitamins. If you doubt this, look up the side-effects of Vitamin-C or Vitamin-D; you might be surprised. Even foods carry potential side-effects, think about it; some people will die if they eat peanuts, others will get extremely sick if they drink milk or consume any dairy product. Of course, you're probably asking why any of this is important, you want to know about the side-effects of Durabolin not milk and Vitamin-C. It's important because you must be willing to look at the side-effects of any anabolic steroid with an open mind; you must be willing to do so without preconceived notions based on what you've heard; you only want the facts, because the facts are the only thing that will actually help you. With this in mind, let's take a look at the side-effects of Durabolin.

Primary:

Durabolin is a 19-nortestosterone (19-nor) anabolic steroid comprised of Nandrolone-Phenylpropionate. A highly anabolic steroid with a moderate androgenic nature, Durabolin is a progestin, and also carries a slight aromatizing nature; the brunt of the primary yet avoidable side-effects will be based on these factors. While it does not aromatize heavily, gynecomastia is a possibility; it is a possibility with all progestin based steroids; for example, it's possible with the Trenbolone hormone. Even so, aromatization is normally the leading cause of gynecomastia, aromatization referring to the conversion of testosterone into estrogen, and while Durabolin does not aromatize heavily, about 20% the rate of testosterone it's still enough when coupled with the progestin nature to make gynecomastia a real possibility. For this reason, the use of an Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) is normally advised; AI's such as Anastrozole (Arimidex) and Letrozole (Femara) will protect from gynecomastia induced by aromatization or progesterone.

Beyond gynecomastia, the next concern is often water retention; progesterone can play a role, but the estrogen buildup caused by the aromatizing factor will be the largest contributing factor. Aromatase may be low, but it's still enough to cause a problem, and it is one that can be quite uncomfortable. Of course, there is hope, and it will once again come in the form of an AI; as you can see, AI's can be quite useful. Even so, it would be irresponsible if we did not mention one important factor, and that is the food you eat. Overeating is the number one cause of water retention, especially carbohydrates, and when aromatizing steroids are present you will be more sensitive. For this reason, you must control your diet, control the amount of carbohydrates you eat and use an AI and water retention will not be an issue.

Gynecomastia and water retention will be the most common concerns, but Durabolin side-effects can also include high blood pressure, high LDL cholesterol and low HDL cholesterol. Total dosing will play a massive role, as will your genetic predisposition to such conditions, but there's still more to say. First and foremost, if you already have high blood pressure you should not supplement with Durabolin or any anabolic androgenic steroid; only if your levels are proper should supplementation be considered. Keeping your dose reasonable will also play a big role; doses above 400mg per week will severely increase the risk of high blood pressure and cholesterol; caution is advised. At any rate, estrogen reduction through the use of an AI can have a positive impact, but dosing and lifestyle habits will play the largest roles of all. If your levels are healthy, continue to live a lifestyle that promotes healthy levels; in-fact, give it some extra attention. Consume plenty of omega fatty acids for your cholesterol health and avoid excess alcohol consumption and any foods known to have adverse effects on blood pressure and cholesterol. Do these things, and if your levels were proper before supplementation they will be proper through and after supplementation is discontinued.

Assured Side-Effects of Durabolin:

As is the case with most anabolic steroids, Durabolin will suppress your natural testosterone production; total suppression varies from steroid to steroid, but all Nandrolone based compounds will cause total suppression. As suppression occurs, this will cause your testicles to atrophy; testosterone is manufactured in the testicles, production has been suppressed and as a result your testicles will lose some of their fullness. For this reason, it is imperative you supplement with some form of exogenous testosterone when you supplement with Durabolin; if not, you will fall into a low testosterone condition. The form of testosterone you choose really doesn't matter; all that matters is you provide your body with the essential testosterone it needs in-order to stave off a tremendously unhealthy low testosterone condition; not only is it unhealthy, it can potentially be extremely problematic. At any rate, there is a bit of good news; first off, exogenous testosterone supplementation protects you and it will even enhance your Durabolin use, but the news gets better. Once all steroid use is discontinued, assuming you possessed proper testosterone production prior to supplementation and did not abuse your anabolic steroids, once all the exogenous steroidal hormones have cleared your system your natural testosterone production will begin again and your testicles will return to their normal size.

Important Notes:

Healthy adult men are the only ones who should consider Durabolin supplementation; women and adolescents should not use this steroid. While women can supplement with anabolic steroids safely, Durabolin is not a recommended choice; the virilization rating is too high and masculine like traits may very well occur. As for adolescents, they should not supplement with Durabolin or any anabolic steroid as supplementation will be damaging to a developing androgen system, and often in an irreversible manner. Healthy adult men, that's it, and if you meet this standard then and only then should you consider Durabolin supplementation.
